| Worship services are held at 10:00 a.m. * Holy Communion is celebrated on the second Sunday of the month, or as announced. We welcome Pastor Zach Hillman to preach  ~ Give thanks for our beautiful city, province, and country. We also give thanks for our extended families both biological and in our church. ~ Pray for the church worldwide. ~ Pray for our graduates as they step out into the world. ~ Pray for safety this Summer to all as we travel, camp, swim, hike, etc. ~ Pray for Refugees worldwide. June – Free a Family – World Renew: World Renew partners with local churches and non-profit organizations to free families from the grip of poverty. Your donation helps a community. July – Umrans Resonate Global Missions: Naji & Anne are missionaries affiliated with our church. They are serving in Egypt.  World Renew: Refugee Sunday World Renew’s Refugee Sunday is an annual event that encourages churches to engage with refugees and support their resettlement efforts. The event is held close to June 20 (which is World Refugee Day). Churches can participate by offering prayers, offering their time, and providing resources to support refugees. Pray for people forced by war, persecution, disaster, and hunger to flee their homes. Ask God to provide safe shelter, food, clean water, and medical care and to bring healing from grief and trauma. Praise God for churches serving as host communities that welcome newcomers with compassion. Pray that political leaders may find just and durable solutions.  Hi everyone: This will be the bible study for the summer. The other study Faith for the Curious was not really a “bible” study, more a people study. This one on prayer has us look into scripture. It will start July 8th, as we may get newcomers who can’t make it on the holiday. Anyone is welcome. If our group grows we will meet in church basement. Thanks everyone! Joanne New Summer Wednesday 9:30 AM Bible Study in AVCRC Annex (July 8, 15, not 22 church camp, July 29, Aug 5, 12, 19) Don’t Try to Pray Like Her Shellie Rushing Tomlinson 6 sessions 7-10 min. Study guides provided. Description We know we should pray, but precious few believers enjoy a healthy prayer life. If we manage to squeeze prayer time into our busy lives, we often end up feeling like our efforts are wasted and fruitless because we aren’t doing it right. Author and Bible teacher Shellie Rushing Tomlinson knows how it feels to be stuck in a dry prayer life while longing for a deeper connection with God. In this five-session series packed with Southern charm and humor, Shellie helps believers move past this common struggle with five prayer habits drawn from her own experience. They’re each built around a short story and a practical prayer support that will help you learn to enjoy lingering in God’s presence. Scripturally anchored and perfect for personal use or small groups, Don’t Try to Pray Like Her will reshape how you experience God in prayer, one real conversation at a time.
