Holy Communion is celebrated on the second Sunday of each month, unless otherwise announced.We welcome Pastor Jack Tsai ![]() Please Continue to Pray~ Ask for correction, discipline and guidance in how to value and love those we’re in contact with, especially those not easy to love. ~ Ask for a desire to wait quietly for God’s direction with how to tell of His grace, faithfulness in forgiving, mercy and glory. ~ For those we know to be experiencing poor health, broken relationships, economic hardship and living with the aftermath of environmental disasters. ~ Ask that relief organizations locally and abroad will continue to be generously supported in the coming year through our donations and governmental assistance. ~ Give thanks for our pastors; ask that they and their families would be protected and blessed with rest and restored energy after the busy Christmas season has passed. Thrive: God’s peace: Lord and God, we ask for your peace and protection as we enter a new year. Watch over our congregations and the communities we serve. You are our refuge and strength; help us to rest in your steadfast love. Whatever lies ahead, may your peace surround and sustain us. Remind each one that you are Emmanuel—“God with us”— and that your light shines even in the darkest places ![]() Special Offering December – Your Choice of the following recipients: * Sage Haven (Alberni Community and Women’s Services Society): Supporting transitions from abusive relationships. Victim Support for all ages. * Salvation Army – Bread of Life: Provide food and health care for community members in the Port Alberni area. * Canada Food Grains Bank: World Renew receives requests for food and provides help where needed. It ensures that the support provided will improve the lives of the people receiving the assistance – in both the short and long terms. * Free a Family – World Renew: World Renew partners with local churches and non-profit organizations to free families from the grip of poverty. Your money helps a community. *The Umrans – Resonate Global Mission: Naji & Anne are missionaries affiliated with our church. They are serving in Egypt. * Guatemala: Our church has a contract with Resonate Global Missions and have been supporting a youth center (Centro Alcance) in Guatemala since 2012. This contract is up for review in June. * Benevolent Fund (Deacons): Provides support as needed to members of the church and community. A policy and guidelines are in place. * Ty Watson House: Providing end of life Palliative Care. * Canada Food Grains Bank: World Renew receives requests for food and provides help where needed.
