Holy Communion is celebrated on the second Sunday of each month, unless otherwise announced.We welcome Pastor Zach Hillman Fifth Sunday evening Lent Service, here at AVCRC AT 6:30 pmwith Pastor Bruce Greenwood  Please Pray ~ Give thanks for the unity we have in Jesus, in this community of believers empowered by the Holy Spirit. ~ Ask that we would trust in our Good Shepherd as Daniel trusted in the lions’ den, and as the Christians who sang hymns in the subways during the Blitzkrieg. ~ Ask that we not be distracted from loving our neighbours in spite of the brutal persecution of Christians in Africa and the Middle East. And also by the numerous wars, conflict and corruption in all levels of government worldwide. ~ Ask to be reminded that although these things must come to pass, Christ calmed the storm. And ask that we will be still, knowing that all things are in his hands. ~ Give thanks that we have the comfort of knowing that the Lord makes all things beautiful, in His time. And that we have the privilege of carrying everything to him in prayer. Thrive: Refugees Please pray for refugees and displaced people worldwide, that they may find safety and peace. Pray also for host nations that have openly received thousands of refugees; may God give them compassion and logistical wisdom in caring for vulnerable individuals and families.  Special OfferingMarch – Guatemala: Our church has a contract with Resonate Global Missions and we have been supporting a youth center (Centro Alcance) in Guatemala since 2012. April – Canadian Foodgrains Bank: : World Renew receives requests for food and provides help where needed. It ensures that the support provided will improve the lives of the people receiving the assistance – in both the short and long terms.  Donations of baking will be appreciated! We are hosting the Lent evening service followed by a time of fellowship on Sunday. * Please bring donations of baking to church in the morning as you are able. Thank you!
